Chassis 0158 ED is the last Touring-bodied, race-specification Ferrari 212 Export produced by the factory, powered by a 160 bhp, 2,562 cc Tipo 212 V-12. Delivered new in early 1952 to Baron Luigi Chiaramonte Bordonaro, it was actively campaigned across Italian events through 1955, then raced at the 1956 Mille Miglia by its Swiss owner. It subsequently passed through several notable American enthusiasts and collectors, accumulating a distinguished concours record at Pebble Beach, Amelia Island, and FCA events. It retains its original engine, gearbox, and rear axle.

Maintenance & restoration

    The original Tipo 212 rear axle was swapped for a heavier-duty Tipo 340 unit to improve durability.

    Rear-end damage sustained during the Giro di Sicilia was rectified, returning the car to racing condition in time for the VI Gran Premio Pergusa.

  3. Restoration

    A comprehensive restoration was carried out by Stephen Griswold prior to the car's concours appearances in 1973 and 1974.
