A 1957 Porsche 356 A GS/GT Speedster fitted with the rare Type 547/1 'Carrera' four-camshaft engine, named in honour of Porsche's class victory at the 1954 Carrera Panamericana. Delivered new in Silver Metallic over Red leather to a dealer in Baden-Baden, chassis 83607 spent several decades in the United States before being acquired by a noted German collection in 1991 and repatriated to Germany, where it underwent comprehensive restoration including installation of a period Carrera engine. The car was subsequently enlarged to 1,750 cc by a respected Porsche specialist.
