The Maserati 5000 GT (chassis AM103 026) is the fifth Allemano-bodied coupé and thirteenth example built overall, completed on 3 January 1962 in Rosso Arcoveggio over black leather. One of only 34 produced, it was delivered to Italian motorsport figure Alfredo Belponer, subsequently passed through several notable hands including Italian pop star Little Tony and reportedly rock guitarist Joe Walsh, and was later comprehensively freshened by marque specialists. It retains its original 5.0-litre V-8 and carries an extensive competition and concours history.
