Between 1997 and 2004 the car received an extensive body-off restoration by Sports Leicht Restorations, encompassing a bare-metal respray in Medium Blue, a drivetrain rebuild to factory standards, re-trimmed interior, and re-chromed brightwork. It was subsequently serviced at the Mercedes-Benz Classic Center in California before being imported to the United Kingdom in 2015.
