Viper Green metallic

This 1976 Porsche 930 Turbo 3.0 Coupé, chassis 9307700066, is among the earliest examples of the 1977 model year, delivered new through a German dealer in October 1976. Finished in Viper Green metallic with a matching original interior, it is reputedly the sole example of that model year combining this colour with a matching cabin, and was specified without sunroof or air conditioning. After years of storage in the Netherlands, it underwent a thorough professional restoration that confirmed the body to be accident-free, with its original drivetrain, interior, and accessories largely intact.

Maintenance & restoration

  1. 2016
    Restoration

Full professional restoration carried out after 2016 purchase: bodywork stripped to bare metal by hand, confirming no prior accident damage, then repainted in the factory original colour. Engine fully overhauled with worn components replaced. Chassis, brakes, and selected electrical elements were also overhauled. New tyres were fitted; original interior, exhaust, wheels, and accessories retained.

Work was commissioned immediately upon the current owner's acquisition. The original Blaupunkt radio, toolkit, and tyre compressor were preserved in situ.

This car's public record is built from its auction and competition history. Register your ownership and privately add your own records to make it a verified Legacy Metrics passport — provenance that backs your car's value at sale and gives your insurer evidence to price against. Roy reviews and verifies every registration personally.

Each chassis record is compiled from public auction archives and links to its source material. Ownership, competition and maintenance entries are extracted from those catalogue listings by an LLM, which can make mistakes — please contact us with any corrections. The summary is Legacy Metrics’ own writing; we do not reproduce catalogue text.

“Full” and “partial” documentation labels indicate how well each entry is corroborated in the underlying sources, not an audit of the car’s physical paperwork. Names of recent or living owners are withheld for privacy.
