Chassis 159571 is one of just 30 examples of the Porsche 356 C Cabriolet fitted from the factory with the four-cam Carrera 2 engine — the 130 bhp, 2.0-litre unit devised by Ernst Fuhrmann that had already powered the 550 Spyder to class victories. Completed on 29 October 1963 in Light Ivory over Green leather, the car was delivered new to the United States through Max Hoffman's New York distributorship. It later passed through British and Italian registration before its current ownership, and retains its matching-numbers drivetrain and original colour scheme.
