1966 Morris Mini Cooper S Mk1

A UK-market right-hand drive Morris Cooper 998cc Mk1 (chassis KA2S4-896682), subsequently built to Cooper S competition specification with a full-race 1,293cc engine. The car spent a period in Belgium before returning to the UK in 2019, whereupon Snetterton Speedshop undertook an extensive bare-shell rebuild completed in 2021. In its earlier competition life it claimed class wins in the European FIA Historic Touring Car Championship; it now holds current FIA/HTP rally homologation papers.

Full strip to bare shell with all necessary metalwork addressed, subframes repaired and updated, complete engine rebuild to 1,293cc specification using new valves, piston rings, a mild rally camshaft and correct rocker gear, plus fitment of a straight-cut gear kit in a period S gearbox with straight-cut drop gears, S remote gearchange, ultra-light flywheel, twin SU carburettors and Cooper S manifold, new oil cooler, radiator, water pump, race/rally dynamo, stainless steel exhaust, rally skid plate, and a Works-style interior with competition seats. Built to FIA/HTP rally compliance.
