Representative of the revised C1 styling introduced that year — quad headlamps, nine-tooth grille, and louvred hood — the car underwent a comprehensive body-off restoration in 2000 covering the engine, transmission, fuel-injection system, suspension, interior, chrome, and soft top. It was subsequently presented at an NCRS event in Orlando in 2002, earning a Third Flight award.
