1965 Attila Mark 3 Sports-racer (Chevrolet-engined)

302CracingUnited Kingdom
Engine
5.0L (302 cu in) Chevrolet V8, short-stroke, built by Tim Adams

The Attila-Chevrolet Mark 3 (chassis 302C) is one of only two surviving examples of three V8-engined Attila Mk3 sports-racers constructed by Racing Developments of North London in 1964–65. Built around a tubular spaceframe with rocker-arm front suspension and among the earliest cars to use a Hewland LG500 transaxle, it was campaigned in 1965 by Tony Lanfranchi and as part of the Redstone Racing Equipe. Restored extensively in the 1990s, it has since been a regular competitor at the Goodwood Revival and Members' Meeting, and holds current FIA HTP papers.

Are you the owner of this car?

This car's public record is built from its auction and competition history. Register your ownership and privately add your own records to make it a verified Legacy Metrics passport — provenance that backs your car's value at sale and gives your insurer evidence to price against. Roy reviews and verifies every registration personally.

Each chassis record is compiled from public auction archives and links to its source material. Ownership, competition and maintenance entries are extracted from those catalogue listings by an LLM, which can make mistakes — please contact us with any corrections. The summary is Legacy Metrics’ own writing; we do not reproduce catalogue text.

“Full” and “partial” documentation labels indicate how well each entry is corroborated in the underlying sources, not an audit of the car’s physical paperwork. Names of recent or living owners are withheld for privacy.
