Engine
1,975cc twin-cam inline-four, ~115 bhp

A one-of-a-kind 1956 Alfa Romeo 1900C Super Sprint bodied as a doorless barchetta by Carrosserie Ghia Aigle of Switzerland, styled by Giovanni Michelotti to evoke the lines of a Riva speedboat. Commissioned by a wealthy Swiss enthusiast for his mistress, the car spent roughly three decades in storage after the affair was discovered, re-emerging in Belgian ownership during the late 1980s. It appeared at the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este in 2001 and has since undergone a recent engine rebuild. One of approximately ten Alfa Romeos bodied by Ghia Aigle, it retains what appears to be original paintwork and interior.

Each chassis record is compiled from public auction archives and links to its source material. Ownership, competition and maintenance entries are extracted from those catalogue listings by an LLM, which can make mistakes — please contact us with any corrections. The summary is Legacy Metrics’ own writing; we do not reproduce catalogue text.
