This 1961 Bentley S2 Continental Flying Spur, with four-door alloy coachwork by H.J. Mulliner, is one of only 388 Continental examples built on the S2 chassis. It was originally ordered through the Swiss dealership Garage de L'Athenée for Madame Hélène Beaumont, an American-born socialite whose jewellery collection was later said to rival that of Wallis Simpson. The car crossed to the United States by the early 1970s and passed through several documented New York and New Jersey owners before its acquisition by the current owner via Vantage Motor Works in 2007.
