Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Gullwing chassis 4500034 holds the distinction of being the first 300 SL delivered to Sweden, dispatched to Philipsons Automobil in Stockholm in late October 1954. Finished in silver with a blue Tissu interior, it retains its original matching-numbers chassis, engine, and body. Its first owner, Olle Perssons, raced it extensively and set a Swedish ice-speed record of 188.8 km/h on Lake Varpen in 1955. The car subsequently passed through Swedish, Swiss, and German ownership, was comprehensively restored by HK Engineering in the 1990s, and has since competed in the Mille Miglia Storico on two occasions.
