The Bizzarrini 5300 GT Strada, chassis 0264, is one of 86 aluminium-bodied examples produced by Giotto Bizzarrini, delivered new to the United States in September 1967. Developed from the racing Grifo A3/C — which took GT-class honours at Le Mans in 1964 and 1965 — the Strada combined a lightweight semi-monocoque platform with a front-mid-mounted Chevrolet V-8, yielding performance that eclipsed every contemporary Italian road car at its price. After years in the US and a post-1990 chain of European owners, the car underwent a comprehensive bare-metal restoration at Rebellion Motors, Lausanne, costing in excess of 246,000 CHF.
