A rare 1962 Aston Martin DB4 Series V Vantage sports saloon, one of approximately 55 built in the final and most developed iteration of the DB4 line. Originally delivered in right-hand drive through Francis Motors to a UK buyer, the car carries a replacement Special Series engine fitted at the factory in early 1963. It was subsequently converted to left-hand drive and extensively modified for historic rallying, and has been in dry storage within a private collection since 2007.

The original Special Series engine was exchanged at the factory for a different Special Series unit, numbered 1083/SS, within months of the car's initial delivery.
Replacement is documented on the copy guarantee form accompanying the car.

Car was converted from right- to left-hand drive and fitted with rally equipment including an integrated roll cage, a kilometre-calibrated speedometer, front spotlights, fire suppression equipment, competition seats and harnesses, and supplementary instrumentation.
Believed to have taken place while the car was based in Germany, possibly between the late 1970s and early 1980s based on AMOC Register data.
