Finished originally in Signal Red, the car was raced in period by French driver Raymond Touroul, including at the 1969 Tour de France and at Albi and Montlhéry in 1971–72. Restored around 1980, the car later received a period-correct Type 906 six-cylinder engine; its original four-cam unit has been rebuilt and is included in the sale. The car appeared at the 2010 Le Mans Classic and is accompanied by an FIA Historic Technical Passport issued in 2008.

  5. Engine rebuild

The removed original four-cylinder engine was rebuilt to running condition by the current owner, dyno-tested, and preserved outside the car along with its flywheel, cooling turbine, carburettors, and ignition system.

Owner chose not to refit the rebuilt unit in order to maintain it in fresh condition for potential future use; work took place after the 2007 acquisition.

Are you the owner of this car?

This car's public record is built from its auction and competition history. Register your ownership and privately add your own records to make it a verified Legacy Metrics passport — provenance that backs your car's value at sale and gives your insurer evidence to price against. Roy reviews and verifies every registration personally.

Each chassis record is compiled from public auction archives and links to its source material. Ownership, competition and maintenance entries are extracted from those catalogue listings by an LLM, which can make mistakes — please contact us with any corrections. The summary is Legacy Metrics’ own writing; we do not reproduce catalogue text.

“Full” and “partial” documentation labels indicate how well each entry is corroborated in the underlying sources, not an audit of the car’s physical paperwork. Names of recent or living owners are withheld for privacy.
