Chassis 0354 is a first-series M471 Lightweight-specification Porsche 911 Carrera RS, one of only 200 built, delivered new through Swiss importer AMAG in Light Yellow over a black lightweight interior. Originally supplied to Basel-based privateer Peter Zbinden, the car was subsequently campaigned in Swiss club events by its second owner. Following decades of use it underwent an extensively documented, no-expense-spared restoration by specialist Nate Cantwell and was awarded the 1999 National PCA Restoration Award.

    Engine case replaced with a new-old-stock unstamped casing during the Cantwell restoration; the new case was stamped with the car's original engine number 6630350. Work carried out by Jack Reffening of the 901 Shop.

    The earlier Porsche-supplied period replacement casing is retained and included in the sale for inspection.

    Correct-style green Carrera RS identification graphics were fitted to the exterior at some point after the restoration was completed.
