The Ferrari 500 TRC chassis 0706 MDTR is the second-to-last of just 19 examples built, representing the final four-cylinder Ferrari and the opening chapter of the Testa Rossa lineage. Delivered in 1957 and raced under several notable drivers including Richie Ginther at Le Mans and Gaston Andrey at Sebring, it accumulated multiple SCCA class victories and two E-Modified championships in 1958 and 1959. After passing through documented American and European ownership, the car was eventually reunited with its original matching-numbers engine and retains an older restoration.

After Sebring, the livery was changed to a two-tone scheme: white upper body over a red lower section with a red stripe, and Swiss emblems on each side in tribute to Andrey's heritage.
- 1980Maintenance
Stanley Nowak discovered the original engine 0706 MDTR crated in Luigi Chinetti's warehouse and sold it to Derek Lees in Birmingham, England, who fitted it to a different 500 TR restoration (chassis 0640 MDTR).
The original engine was thus separated from this chassis and used in another car's restoration.

- —Modification
The Ford engine was subsequently removed and a replacement 2-liter Ferrari engine stamped 0582 LM was fitted.
