The Allard K2 is one of only 119 produced, a lightweight British sports car designed to accept American V-8 power. Chassis 91K-3017 was the lead car of an 18-unit US-bound batch dispatched in February 1952, built in left-hand drive and specified from the outset for a Chrysler Hemi engine. Invoiced directly to Washington D.C. dealer Jack Pry rather than through the usual New York importer, it retains its original Chrysler V-8 and De Dion rear axle, and received a comprehensive restoration roughly 25 years ago. It has since appeared at the Greenwich Concours d'Elegance and made its post-restoration racing debut at the Monterey Historics.
