1970 Volkswagen Beetle 1300
A 1970 Volkswagen Beetle Type 2 1300, UK-supplied in right-hand drive and finished in Clementine Orange with charcoal and black interior. Purchased new in 1971 by Peter Hawkes following a redundancy payout, the car remained with him and his family for the entirety of its known life. Largely kept in a garage, which accounts for the remarkably preserved paintwork. Original documentation survives including the service book, owner's manual, radio handbook, and service invoices dating back to 1974.
