The Iso Grifo GL Series I with chassis number GI720140 is approximately the 140th example of only 330 Series I cars produced, completed in April 1967 and styled by Giugiaro with engineering input from Bizzarrini. Delivered to its first owner in Barcelona in early 1968, it is believed to have been shown at that year's Barcelona Motor Show and was subsequently used in period rally competition. The car was later converted to Series II front-end appearance by a noted Spanish coachbuilder and extensively modified for high-performance road use, including widened arches, a Weber-carburettored 5.7-litre V8, adjustable suspension, and Wilwood brakes.
