70131roadGermany
Engine
3.2L OHV V8, dual Zenith downdraught carburettors, 148 bhp
Colour
Feather white ('Feder Weiss')

The BMW 507 Series II roadster, chassis built in 1957 and first delivered on 1 January 1958, is one of only 252 examples produced before the model's 1959 discontinuation. Penned by Count Albrecht von Goertz and conceived at the urging of US importer Max Hoffman, the car is finished in Feder Weiss over a Korallrot interior and retains its original Rudge wheels and toolbox. It passed through three long-term Swiss custodians over more than four decades, accumulating a well-documented history file that includes a period sales advertisement and a detailed owner's log kept by a BMW workshop proprietor who cared for the car across 43 years.

  2. Bodywork

Are you the owner of this car?

This car's public record is built from its auction and competition history. Register your ownership and privately add your own records to make it a verified Legacy Metrics passport — provenance that backs your car's value at sale and gives your insurer evidence to price against. Roy reviews and verifies every registration personally.

Each chassis record is compiled from public auction archives and links to its source material. Ownership, competition and maintenance entries are extracted from those catalogue listings by an LLM, which can make mistakes — please contact us with any corrections. The summary is Legacy Metrics’ own writing; we do not reproduce catalogue text.

“Full” and “partial” documentation labels indicate how well each entry is corroborated in the underlying sources, not an audit of the car’s physical paperwork. Names of recent or living owners are withheld for privacy.
