Alpine A110 chassis 3336, built at Dieppe in late 1965 and originally delivered as a 1100 VB with a Gordini 1,100 cc engine, represents one of the most celebrated models from Jean Rédélé's French marque. After a period of American ownership during which it received Group 4-specification bodywork, the car was repatriated to Europe in 2010 and subjected to a thorough ground-up rebuild, emerging in 1975 Tour de Corse specification with a rare Bernard Dudot-prepared 1,798 cc engine equipped with Lucas guillotine mechanical fuel injection.

Maintenance & restoration

    Auto Racing

Comprehensive ground-up rebuild carried out in Europe after repatriation: the five-speed gearbox was overhauled, upgraded disc brakes were fitted, and the engine was rebuilt to 1,798 cc specification with rare Lucas guillotine mechanical fuel injection prepared in the style of Bernard Dudot's Works units. The previous bodywork was replaced with an entirely new shell built by Auto Racing in France to 1975 Tour de Corse specification, including lighter construction and a centrally mounted 90-litre fuel tank. The livery replicates that used by Jean-Pierre Nicolas at the 1975 event.

An extensive photographic record of the restoration process accompanies the car.

Are you the owner of this car?

This car's public record is built from its auction and competition history. Register your ownership and privately add your own records to make it a verified Legacy Metrics passport — provenance that backs your car's value at sale and gives your insurer evidence to price against. Roy reviews and verifies every registration personally.

Each chassis record is compiled from public auction archives and links to its source material. Ownership, competition and maintenance entries are extracted from those catalogue listings by an LLM, which can make mistakes — please contact us with any corrections. The summary is Legacy Metrics’ own writing; we do not reproduce catalogue text.

“Full” and “partial” documentation labels indicate how well each entry is corroborated in the underlying sources, not an audit of the car’s physical paperwork. Names of recent or living owners are withheld for privacy.
