Destined for the United States from new, it passed through Luigi Chinetti's distributorship before accumulating a chain of American owners across several decades. The car earned a First in Class award at the 1994 Ferrari Club of America International Concours d'Elegance before departing the United States, subsequently returning with its correct red-over-black livery and Borrani wire wheels intact.
