The 1969 Maserati Mistral 4.0 Coupé is the most powerful variant of Pietro Frua's acclaimed design, producing 265 bhp from a 4.0-litre inline-six — the last of Maserati's racing-derived straight-six engines. One of just 868 examples of the 3.7- and 4.0-litre series built before production ended in 1970, this car was delivered new in Italy on 14 May 1969 and has remained in Italian ownership throughout its life, retaining its original libretto documentation and presenting in silver over dark blue.
