A 1972 Intermeccanica Italia Spyder, one of roughly 500 produced between 1967 and 1972, this U.S.-specification example left the Intermeccanica factory on 5 August 1970. Built to the Italian-American hybrid formula pioneered by founder Frank Reisner, it combines coachbuilt Italian bodywork with a Ford 351 Windsor V-8 and four-speed manual gearbox. Finished in red over black with period Cromadora alloy wheels and Jaeger instrumentation, the car retains its original cockpit specification with some minor cosmetic modifications.
