Chassis 0391 is a 1966 Lamborghini 350 GT — the marque's inaugural production model, introduced at the 1964 Geneva Salon and built in a total of just 131 units. Delivered new in Grigio Argento over Nero to the Milan dealer Lambrocar, it was first registered to Luigi Piotti, the Formula 1 driver who raced for Maserati and OSCA. The car has since undergone a thorough professional restoration in the Netherlands, including bare-metal refinishing by Autoclassica Rubbio and a fully renewed interior.

Full professional restoration carried out by Netherlands-based specialists: body separated from frame, all mechanical and technical components reportedly overhauled, entirely new interior fitted, and bodywork stripped to bare metal before repainting in the original Grigio Argento colour.

An RM Sotheby's specialist inspected the finished car and described the quality of work as excellent; chrome wire wheels were also restored and fitted with blackwall tyres.

Are you the owner of this car?

This car's public record is built from its auction and competition history. Register your ownership and privately add your own records to make it a verified Legacy Metrics passport — provenance that backs your car's value at sale and gives your insurer evidence to price against. Roy reviews and verifies every registration personally.

Each chassis record is compiled from public auction archives and links to its source material. Ownership, competition and maintenance entries are extracted from those catalogue listings by an LLM, which can make mistakes — please contact us with any corrections. The summary is Legacy Metrics’ own writing; we do not reproduce catalogue text.

“Full” and “partial” documentation labels indicate how well each entry is corroborated in the underlying sources, not an audit of the car’s physical paperwork. Names of recent or living owners are withheld for privacy.
