The 1955 Chrysler C-300 — often called 'the banker's hot rod' — was among the most powerful American production cars of its era, fitted with a 331-cubic-inch Hemi V-8 producing 300 bhp via dual four-barrel carburetors, full-race camshaft, and solid valve lifters. One of only 1,725 built, and roughly 10 percent believed to survive, this example underwent a four-year, $90,000-plus restoration and has since earned the Amelia Award at the 2009 Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance and 2008 AACA Senior Grand National honours.

Each chassis record is compiled from public auction archives and links to its source material. Ownership, competition and maintenance entries are extracted from those catalogue listings by an LLM, which can make mistakes — please contact us with any corrections. The summary is Legacy Metrics’ own writing; we do not reproduce catalogue text.

“Full” and “partial” documentation labels indicate how well each entry is corroborated in the underlying sources, not an audit of the car’s physical paperwork. Names of recent or living owners are withheld for privacy.
