Chassis ST 418 BC is the 18th of roughly 40 Bertone-bodied Siata 300 BC Barchettas produced between 1951 and the early 1950s, fitted with a tuned Fiat 1100 motor whose number matches the chassis. Originally owned by racing enthusiast Bob McNeal and occasionally driven in competition by Ron Hunter, the car passed through several American hands before receiving a full restoration by noted 300 BC authority Jarl de Boer in the mid-1980s, including a repaint to Rosso and preparation for historic racing. It has been in extended climate-controlled storage for approximately three decades.
