Chassis 2255 GT is the 34th production example of the Ferrari 250 GTE 2+2, Ferrari's first series-production four-seater, bodied by Pininfarina and completed in January 1961. Originally delivered to a private owner in Lugano, Switzerland, the car passed through four private hands over six decades, spending a lengthy period in the United States before returning to the UK. A comprehensive nut-and-bolt restoration undertaken between 2014 and 2018, costing in excess of £200,000, was carried out in Maranello and earned a Best in Class award at Salon Privé 2019. The car retains matching numbers and holds Ferrari Classiche certification.
