Full bare-metal strip, all corrosion cut out and replaced with new steel, followed by comprehensive three-year rebuild costing approximately £100,000 to convert the GT Junior into a GTAm-specification race and fast-road car. All mechanical components were either new or professionally rebuilt, including a reconditioned five-speed gearbox, rebuilt differential and steering box, reinforced chassis pick-up points, new competition clutch, uprated race brakes with servos, race springs and dampers, high-capacity radiator with bespoke catch tanks, safety cage, fire suppression system, and battery cut-off switches. Alfaholics GTAm wings, wheels, competition exhaust manifold, and track-compliant exhaust system were fitted, along with Cobra Monaco race seats and 235/50/16 Yokohama AO48R tyres.
The 2.0-litre Nord race engine with twin 45 DCOE Weber carburettors was supplied and built by Terry Van Der Zee of TT Motors Racing Ltd. All components have zero running hours on completion.
