The original Mulliner Weymann fabric saloon body was removed and replaced with a Vanden Plas Sports Touring open body, originally constructed for sister 4½-Litre chassis FS 3607 (body number 1672). This occurred prior to Donald Archbell's acquisition in January 1950.
The replacement body has been authenticated as genuine Vanden Plas coachwork by historian Dr. Clare Hay, who verified stampings on the windshield frame.
