Maintenance & restoration

  1. 1934Modification
    Bohman & Schwartz

The car was lightly restyled to reflect contemporary 1934 fashion, receiving skirted front fenders and a hoodline extended rearward to the base of the windshield, echoing the styling of that year's Individual Custom Packards.

Work attributed to the Pasadena coachbuilders in a typed article included in the car's file.

  2. 2011Restoration
    Stone Barn Automobile Restoration

A fresh comprehensive restoration undertaken after the Crosby work was deemed to have aged sufficiently to warrant renewal. Original factory paint traces and matching interior leather discovered during disassembly were used to guide colour matching. Original structural and identification components were retained.

Commissioned by David Kane; the restored car debuted at the 2012 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance.

  3. Restoration

A thorough restoration returning the car to its original 1932 configuration and applying a two-tone blue colour scheme. Original number tags and body plates were deliberately preserved throughout the process.

Carried out by Harold Crosby to a high standard; restoration was complete in time for the 1963 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance.

  4. Service

Ongoing routine mechanical and cosmetic upkeep maintained to a high standard during current ownership.

Car kept in regular use as well as show condition during the Andrews tenure from 2017 onward.

This car's public record is built from its auction and competition history. Register your ownership and privately add your own records to make it a verified Legacy Metrics passport — provenance that backs your car's value at sale and gives your insurer evidence to price against. Roy reviews and verifies every registration personally.

Each chassis record is compiled from public auction archives and links to its source material. Ownership, competition and maintenance entries are extracted from those catalogue listings by an LLM, which can make mistakes — please contact us with any corrections. The summary is Legacy Metrics’ own writing; we do not reproduce catalogue text.

“Full” and “partial” documentation labels indicate how well each entry is corroborated in the underlying sources, not an audit of the car’s physical paperwork. Names of recent or living owners are withheld for privacy.
