Chassis 2675 is a matching-numbers 1962 Ferrari 250 GTE 2+2 Series I, one of approximately 296 examples of the first series of Ferrari's pioneering four-seat grand tourer. Delivered new to the United States, it passed through numerous American owners over several decades and accumulated a documented ownership history supported by a Marcel Massini report. The car retains its original Grigio Fumo exterior colour and received significant mechanical and cosmetic refurbishment in the early 2000s as well as a comprehensive engine rebuild in 2006–2007.

    Car was fully stripped and repainted; cylinder heads were resurfaced; valve seats, damaged guides, and the water pump were replaced; interior was retrimmed with new headlining, leather, and carpets.

    Commissioned by Jerry Bensinger during his ownership; car showed 62,622 miles at the subsequent 2002 auction.

    Pino Narducci

    Thorough engine overhaul completed between December 2006 and May 2007, encompassing new valves and guides, pistons and rings, bearings, seals, and gaskets. A new clutch disc and pressure plate, overdrive switch, and complete ANSA exhaust system with hangers were also fitted.

    Located in New York; only approximately 80 miles were covered after the rebuild before the car was offered for sale in 2007.
