Chassis 162 is a 1957 Dual-Ghia Convertible, one of approximately 100 produced between 1956 and 1958 under the direction of Detroit industrialist Eugene Casaroll. Combining a Dodge D-500 V-8 drivetrain with hand-formed coachwork by Ghia of Turin, the model was famously sold by personal invitation only. This example was restored by prominent Dual-Ghia specialist Joe Morgan for his own use, finished in Maroon with tan leather and engine-turned aluminium dashboard trim, and subsequently awarded Chairman's Choice at the 2006 Greenwich Concours d'Elegance.

Each chassis record is compiled from public auction archives and links to its source material. Ownership, competition and maintenance entries are extracted from those catalogue listings by an LLM, which can make mistakes — please contact us with any corrections. The summary is Legacy Metrics’ own writing; we do not reproduce catalogue text.

“Full” and “partial” documentation labels indicate how well each entry is corroborated in the underlying sources, not an audit of the car’s physical paperwork. Names of recent or living owners are withheld for privacy.
