Following a complete frame-off restoration by Jeff and Bill Steinmetz of Columbus, Ohio, the car was presented in its original Rio Red factory finish with a tri-tone gray, black, and red interior. The restoration earned AACA Senior National First Prize in 2022 and a Grand National award in 2023, with the car also reaching the final 19 nominees for the AACA Zenith Award that same year.
