Maintenance & restoration

  1. Modification
    Vehicle Effects Inc.

Vehicle substantially re-engineered for stunt work: original 383ci V8 replaced with a 6.2-litre Chevrolet LS3 V8, automatic transmission fitted, suspension reinforced, full roll cage installed, and a non-functional supercharger added for visual accuracy. Production-specific rig mounts and rooftop-driving fabrication also completed.

Work carried out under the direction of Dennis McCarthy to prepare the car for demanding repeated-take stunt sequences in the Fast & Furious franchise.

  2. Modification

Wheels swapped to a more classic style to better replicate Toretto's Charger as seen in the first film, for use in the touring stage production.

Modification made after the car was transferred to Fast Live Productions for stage-show use.

  3. Repair

LS3 engine block has a crack on one side and a water leak attributed to freeze damage; the car runs but engine block repair or full replacement is recommended before regular use.

Condition noted at time of consignment; mechanical recommissioning required prior to operation.
