Chassis 017F is a 1960 Elva Formula Junior Type 200, one of roughly twenty examples of the marque's first rear-engined single-seater, built around a round-tube spaceframe with fibreglass bodywork and independent suspension all round. Delivered new to David Austin in 1960 and campaigned under the Babs Racing Team banner, the car later became a notable historic competitor in the hands of Rodney Tolhurst, Phoebe Rolt, and others, accumulating class victories and championship results across the UK and Europe over several decades.
