The 66th of 121 factory-built Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona Spiders, chassis 16223 was delivered to its first owner in Virginia via Pennsylvania dealer Algar Enterprises in 1973, specified in a distinctive red-over-white with blue interior scheme. The car gained wider recognition through ownership by Chicago restaurateur Jean Banchet before passing through several California owners who commissioned extensive mechanical and cosmetic work. It has accumulated concours honours including Ferrari Club of America Gold and Platinum awards, and was selected to mark the Pininfarina-Ferrari 50th anniversary at Concorso Italiano in 2001.
