1968 Rover 2000TC

A 1968 Rover 2000TC acquired in 1993 specifically as a platform for endurance historic road rallying. Prepared by Holbay Engineering with a gas-flowed cylinder head, modified camshaft, tubular exhaust manifold, uprated suspension, long-range fuel system, and a full roll cage, the car completed several demanding international rallies including the Classic Marathon to Morocco, Liege-Istanbul-Liege, Trial to the Nile, and the Classic Marathon to Croatia. Recommissioned in 2016 after a period of inactivity, it remains in sound, rally-ready condition.

Maintenance & restoration

Holbay Engineering gas-flowed the cylinder head and inlet manifold, modified the cam profile, and fitted a tubular exhaust manifold. A long-range fuel system, uprated springs, and competition shock absorbers were also installed, along with a Safety Devices roll cage and sump guard.

Rear brake calipers rebuilt and the entire car thoroughly inspected before being submitted for a fresh MOT. Total cost of work was approximately £700.
Recommissioning after a period of inactivity following the previous owner's death in 2014.
