A 1966 Jaguar E-Type Series I 4.2 Roadster with covered headlights and matching-numbers engine, built at Coventry in late 1965 as a factory left-hand-drive car believed delivered new to North America. Acquired in 1989 by an Oklahoma-based collector, the car was subsequently subjected to a comprehensive professional restoration by Classic Jaguar of Austin, Texas, during which the original engine was rebuilt and upgraded with electronic fuel injection and multi-coil ignition, a five-speed gearbox installed, Wilwood disc brakes fitted, suspension refreshed, and period Dunlop centre-lock alloy wheels added in the style of the Lightweight competition cars.

    Classic Jaguar

    Comprehensive professional restoration and performance upgrade programme carried out by Classic Jaguar. Bodywork and interior retained in original specification; engine fully rebuilt and fitted with electronic multi-point fuel injection, multi-coil electronic ignition, and performance exhaust headers. A five-speed gearbox replaced the original unit, Wilwood disc brakes were added, suspension bushings and dampers were renewed, and a large-capacity aluminium radiator was installed. Period-style Dunlop centre-lock alloy wheels shod with Pirelli tyres were also fitted.

    Workshop is located in Austin, Texas. Fewer than 1,000 miles recorded since the restoration was completed.
