Chassis 12473 is the 17th of just 20 Ferrari 365 GTSes produced, all built in 1969. Powered by a 4.4-litre single-overhead-cam V-12 producing 320 bhp and mated to a five-speed transaxle, the model represented the pinnacle of Ferrari open grand touring of its era. Delivered new through German importer Auto-Becker to a succession of European collectors, the car eventually spent two decades in a notable Dutch Ferrari collection before crossing to the United States, where it underwent a comprehensive restoration encompassing the engine, gearbox, brakes, suspension, fuel system, bodywork, and interior.

Comprehensive recommissioning by the current owner's private mechanic: engine and gearbox fully stripped and rebuilt with new components where required; brakes overhauled with new lines and master cylinder; suspension refreshed with new bushings, ball joints, and wheel bearings; fuel tanks cleaned and new electric pumps fitted; radiator rebuilt with a new core; full wiring harness replaced along with voltage regulator and alternator; new exhaust system installed. NOS parts were prioritised throughout.
All replacement components sourced from Ferrari specialists, with new-old-stock parts used wherever available.
