Chassis CSX 3045 is one of 53 factory-built 427 S/C (Semi-Competition) Cobras, produced when unsold competition cars were finished as road machines after the FIA declined to homologate the 427 for GT racing in 1965. Invoiced to Shelby American in February 1965, the car passed through several notable owners and was raced in SCCA and vintage events. A comprehensive restoration was commissioned by collector John Mozart in the late 1980s, covering mechanical, drivetrain, and cosmetic work to exacting standards. The car is extensively documented in the Shelby American World Registry.

Each chassis record is compiled from public auction archives and links to its source material. Ownership, competition and maintenance entries are extracted from those catalogue listings by an LLM, which can make mistakes — please contact us with any corrections. The summary is Legacy Metrics’ own writing; we do not reproduce catalogue text.
