An Alfa Romeo 8C 2300 clothed in one of only seven bodies produced for the model by the Parisian coachbuilder Figoni, this cabriolet was commissioned in 1932 by its first owner, Roger Goldet, and later associated with racing driver Raymond Sommer. After decades in the South of France, the car passed through several notable collectors, underwent a full restoration by Alfa Romeo 8C specialist Chris Leydon, and accumulated over 20,000 post-restoration road miles. It retains a remarkable proportion of original 2.3 components and has existed in its present Figoni configuration for more than seventy years.

Each chassis record is compiled from public auction archives and links to its source material. Ownership, competition and maintenance entries are extracted from those catalogue listings by an LLM, which can make mistakes — please contact us with any corrections. The summary is Legacy Metrics’ own writing; we do not reproduce catalogue text.

“Full” and “partial” documentation labels indicate how well each entry is corroborated in the underlying sources, not an audit of the car’s physical paperwork. Names of recent or living owners are withheld for privacy.
