Ferrari 250 GT/L Berlinetta Lusso chassis 5521 GT, the 269th example built, completed assembly in April 1964 in Amaranto over Beige leather. Delivered new through Maranello Concessionaires to a British resident in Sicily, it passed through several UK and Swiss owners before being converted to LMB-style racing specification by enthusiast Mike McQuaker from 1976, gaining alloy coachwork by Williams & Pritchard, a dry-sump six-carburetor engine, and extensive competition preparation. It reportedly won the British Maranello Ferrari Challenge Series in 1986 and 1987, subsequently passed through notable collections including Peter Waterman's racing Ferrari stable, and has been held in largely undisturbed storage for approximately two decades while retaining its original matching-numbers engine.
