Chassis 4623 is a 1963 Ferrari 250 GT/L Berlinetta Lusso, the 75th of approximately 350 examples built, bodied by Scaglietti to a Pininfarina design. Completed on 3 August 1963 in Grigio Notte over a Rosso interior and delivered new to Umberto Carli of Rimini through the Bologna dealer SIVAM, it subsequently passed through Italian and American ownership before a comprehensive three-year restoration by JD Classics of Maldon, Essex, returning it to factory-correct specification. Matching numbers are retained throughout.

Comprehensive three-year restoration undertaken by JD Classics, encompassing a bare-metal repaint in the original Grigio Notte colour with Rosso leather interior, full engine rebuild, gearbox and differential overhaul, suspension and brake system refurbishment, and cosmetic retrim including new carpet, leather, and re-chromed exterior brightwork.
Work was fully documented with over 500 photographs supplied on CD. Restoration concluded prior to 2017. Ferrari Classiche certification was applied for but remained pending at time of cataloguing.
