Maintenance & restoration
- —RestorationClassic & Exotic Service
Full concours-level restoration carried out with the body separated from the chassis. All running gear — engine, gearbox, rear axle, springs, and associated hardware — was dismantled and rebuilt to original specification, with worn-beyond-repair components remanufactured from factory blueprints. Wooden wheels were duplicated to match originals; brass fittings, lamps, and trim were refurbished by a specialist. Body sheet metal was straightened and refitted over the largely sound original wooden structure, with limited localised timber repairs. Original rear flooring was repaired in situ rather than replaced. The interior was retrimmed and paintwork recreated using large-format factory photographs. A period-style folding windshield was confirmed as an original accessory piece.
Rick Britten handled brass component restoration. New hood bows and sockets were fabricated from scratch. Factory photographs sourced by the owners guided both upholstery and paint/stripe patterns.
