1969 MG MGC GTS
A purpose-built MGC GT works-specification replica constructed in the early 1980s by Doug Smith of MG Motorsport for racer Colin Pearcy, who owned the genuine BMC works car RMO 699F and wanted a circuit-ready facsimile. The bodyshell was fabricated with aluminium outer panels replicating the distinctive bubble-arched factory cars, built over a 1969 MGC GT donor shell. Raced in British club and international events by Pearcy, Gerry Marshall, Barry Sidery-Smith, and Chris Conoley, including the 1990 Trophée des Ardennes at Spa, and carries FIA papers confirming works specification.
