Chassis 4906 is a 1971 Lamborghini Miura SV, completed at the factory on 23 July 1971 as a European-specification example with production number 650 and single-sump V-12 engine number 30651. Originally finished in Rosso Corsa with a Nero interior and delivered to the official Lamborghini distributor in Rome, the car spent at least a decade in Europe before passing through several American owners. In the late 1990s it underwent an exhaustive concours-quality restoration by specialist Jeff Stephan, after which it collected multiple Best of Show honours at major Lamborghini concours events.

    Comprehensive nut-and-bolt concours restoration begun in early 1998; bodywork and chassis found to be corrosion-free and undamaged. Car refinished in original Rosso Corsa, gold Campagnolo wheels and matching gold rocker panels fitted, interior retrimmed in biscuit leather with coordinating carpets. Suspension fully rebuilt; engine and transaxle assessed as sound and refurbished as needed.

    Commissioned by Bill Rice; restoration completed prior to the car's 2001 concours debut.
