Chassis 0126 A is a July 1951 Ferrari 340 America, the second of just two examples clothed in Touring's berlinetta coachwork and one of only 23 total 340 Americas produced. Delivered new to a Roman engineer, it later passed through the hands of Sidney Earl Chaplin, son of Charlie Chaplin, before reaching the United States, where its original engine was replaced. Rediscovered in the 1970s and subsequently restored with a period-correct Lampredi unit rebuilt to 4.1-litre competition specification, the car has competed in multiple editions of the Mille Miglia Storica and appeared at major concours events.
