Chassis AEX221 is a 1958 AC Ace Roadster, one of just 266 produced, originally delivered in a special-order silver metallic finish over dark blue leather to an American military officer stationed in France. The car retains its matching-numbers 2.0-litre AC inline-six engine and original aluminium bodywork. After decades of private ownership in the United States, it underwent a comprehensive nut-and-bolt restoration by AC specialists Kevin Kay Restorations of Redding, California, at a cost of approximately $400,000, subsequently earning multiple concours awards.
